TEACH + SHARE

Turn what you know into knowledge others can use.

An experienced practitioner sharing knowledge

For experienced practitioners and experts, we solve the problem of knowledge that has nowhere to go. Years of experience can produce methods, instincts, processes, lessons, and solutions that never become transferable knowledge.

The Institute gives practitioners a place to turn what they know into curriculum, pathways, mentorship, methodologies, Labs, case studies, and a body of work that can reach beyond the people they personally encounter. We want that knowledge too. Street Angels Institute gives practitioners a place to examine what they know, sharpen it, teach it, test it, document it, and build on it. Teach a class, lead a pathway, mentor somebody, bring a methodology, lead a Lab, or build a body of work around the thing you know how to do.

This page is for practitioners, experts, trainers, organizers, canvassers, strategists, researchers, technologists, facilitators, community leaders, and emerging thought leaders. It rests on one belief: expertise should circulate. A person should be able to learn from someone who has already completed the step in front of them, apply that knowledge while it’s useful, measure what happens, and keep moving, and experienced practitioners should have a place to turn years of work into knowledge others can use.

THE STANDARD

Learning should leave evidence.

01

Use what you learned.

We aren’t interested in measuring learning only by how many videos somebody watched, lessons they completed, or hours they logged. Participation matters, but it does not prove that someone can apply what they learned.

02

Produce and improve.

We want to know whether you can do the thing, use what you learned, produce something, solve a piece of the problem, measure what happened, make it better the next time, and eventually teach it.

03

Make learning visible.

That’s learning we can see, and it’s the same standard we hold the teaching side of the Institute to. What is taught should hold up in practice, produce useful evidence, and remain valuable to the next learner.

The Institute shouldn’t just find experts. It should make more of them.

Teach a class, lead a pathway, mentor somebody, bring a methodology, lead a Lab, or build a body of work around the thing you know how to do.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

Bring what you know.

01

Teach a course.

Take what you know and turn it into an official Institute class, built around the same problem-first structure as the rest of the curriculum.

02

Mentor.

Work directly with someone coming up behind you, a canvasser, an organizer, an emerging practitioner who needs exactly what you already figured out.

03

Contribute to a pathway.

Help shape how people move from one capability to the next, using what you know about what actually comes next in the real work.

04

Lead or participate in a Think Tank.

Bring your knowledge into a working group built around a real problem, alongside residents, researchers, technologists, and other practitioners.

05

Lead a Lab.

Put your expertise to work building, testing, or improving something a community or organization actually needs.

06

Contribute a methodology.

Document the process you’ve never written down, and turn your instincts into something somebody else can learn.

07

Develop curriculum.

Help build the next course before the field has to figure it out the hard way, the way you did.

08

Turn experience into a body of work.

Case studies, frameworks, and a documented track record that outlives any single project you worked on.
